My Sweet Family
This video is the result of the discovery of Microsoft Movie Maker on my laptop. I think I may have just discovered the answer to my backlog of scrapbooking material: I will make digital scrapbooks with beautiful music accompanying my precious photos.
I love this new pastime!

"Simplify"
This woman rocks!
I just returned from a CKC class with Cathy Zielske--I am so inspired to get going and make meaningful pages. Cathy gave us two minutes to finish this sentence:
i scrapbook because...
(this is what I came up with)
I want to make a difference in my family.
I want my kids to know how much I love them.
I want my kids to know who I am.
I want to leave a legacy.
I want a creative outlet.
I want to tell my family's story.
I want my kids to know how much I love their father.
Cathy's quote: " I scrapbook because I have stories and photos and a voice that needs to be heard."
What a lovely person she is--very eloquent, kind to everyone who talked to her, and funny as hell. Thank you, Cathy, for reminding me to simplify and to remember why I scrapbook.

I figured out why so many people are visiting my blog...
Someone has erroneously posted a link to this blog on their site, announcing that I was giving a digital scrapbooking kit away. I am very sorry to say that this is untrue. In fact, I have no idea how to use a digital scrapbooking kit, let alone design one.
I'm sorry to disappoint you but I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Bonjour, tout le monde!
I just discovered that people from all over the world are visiting my website. Hello, guten abend, bonsoir, buenas noches, konnichiwa, etc...
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you are having a nice day in your corner of the universe!
(Please ignore the fact that I look like a phantom in this video--it was recorded under duress in the wee hours of the morning and under very harsh lighting conditions, i.e. my kitchen table lumieres.)

Speaking of weddings...
JAM is back!!!
My favorite TV couple is back and engaged! I'm sure this season will not be completely hunky dorey for them, but I am rooting for them nonetheless. This is absolutely the best show on television!

Latest obsession--The Office!
Evidently I have a very obsessive personality. My latest obssession? None other than "The Office." I am such a ding dong because I hadn't been watching this fabulous show for the first four years. Luckily, I somehow managed to discover via Blockbuster online rentals and I have been watching the first three seasons in the last week. In fact, I watched almost the entire third season last night from 9:30 p.m. until around 5:30 a.m. this morning! Such a twit.
This show is spectacularly brilliant--I am thoroughly addicted. I am awaiting September 2 so I can purchase season 4. I will have a few weeks to watch it before season 5 begins. I am doing everything I can to avoid finding out what happened in season 4 from the internet and people I talk to about the show. I couldn't stand to have the show spoiled for me.
So, to the creators, writers, producers and actors of "The Office"(and everyone else who has a hand in making the show): thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me laugh out loud, gasp in disbelief at Jim's declaration of love to Pam on Casino Night, and forget my worries in life for a little while. Bravo!
I love John Krasinski!

It's Back to School time!
I have got to be one of the luckiest workers out there. I have a lengthy summer vacation where I am able to relax and reenergize. Remind me of this next time I complain about my job! I hope this coming school year is the best yet! It'll be my 14th year as a teacher--I am a veteran. Wow, that is unreal.
Only 19 more years until retirement! LOL!

I'm an unrealistic dork...
What the heck was I thinking? Between cleaning up my scrap room, taking DS to a birthday party, taking DD to get school supplies and enjoying my family time, I didn't get a thing scrapped. Later in the week the kids will be going to Great Grandma's to spend time so I plan to get some scrapping done then.
Some scrapping inspiration:
