I have been informed by my 11-year-old daughter, who is a big One Direction fan, that I cannot become a 1D fan myself. I guess she doesn't want me to ruin her love of them by liking them myself. Well, I don't believe she reads my blog so I am posting this video today. I have become a covert 1D fan after all, but she will never know!
*Insert evil laugh here.*
Actually, I have just really become enamored by this lovely ditty and thought I would share it with you. Enjoy.
A scrappy gal writing about all the little scraps of life that make me happy. What makes YOU happy?

Looking good, Stephen!
Check out Stephen Amell's Facebook page. He seems like a truly lovely man who cares about his fans. Watch the Q & A and see if you agree.
Très cool!

Arrow writers, how could you do this to me?!?
{SPOILERS AHEAD--DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE WATCHED EPISODE 309 OF ARROW!!!}
I just finished episode 309 of Arrow and I am beside myself trying to figure out how I am ever going to survive without my precious show for so long, and my precious main star of the show for even longer.
I was very happy about Oliver's declaration of love to Felicity. {SWOON!} He should have given her more than a forehead kiss, although as far as forehead kisses go, this one was a doozy!
The scene should have lasted longer, they should have kissed on the lips, and she should have declared her love for him too. But now she can't...
Yet, the creators of this lovely show know how to appease us Olicity shippers a little bit each week. Ah, l'amour!
Yup, Oliver. That's what I like to see! Say it loud and say it proud!
~~~
However, I was extremely unhappy with how and where Oliver Queen ended up. I have been reading all the Tweets about the show using #ArrowMidSeasonFinale and lots of clever people have aptly called it the best cliffhanger in TV history! If you haven't seen the show yet, please watch it so you can understand the double meaning of that phrase.
The final scene started out like this:
And it ended up somewhat like this:
~~~
The show is on hiatus until January 21 (6 weeks from today!?!), but we won't even get to see Stephen Amell (remember him?)...
...for the first three episodes after that! That places his return to Arrow in February, also known as my birth month. So basically, I need to consider having Stephen back as an early birthday present.
***All of the photos and gifs were taken from the internet. I did not make them myself.***

Thankful for family; 15% discount in our soap shop
Thanksgiving vacation is winding down and I feel quite thankful for many things in my life: family, friends, clothing, shelter...I am very grateful for all the blessings in my life.
I love my kids so much, despite the fact that one is a teenager and one is a preteen. Sinceriously, I will ALWAYS love my children. I relish telling them that I cannot wait until they get homes of their own so that I can come over and jump on their couches or leave Fruit Roll-Ups wrappers lying around. They are my treasures et je les aimerai pour toujours!

Arrow, Soap, Sewing, and the Royals
Need I say more?
Well, I will say this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I made some new soap today--Lavender Vanilla. It's a variation of a soap I made in the past called Vanilla Lavender. I used a different combination of fragrance and essential oils and different coloring. Here is a sneak peek before I put it to bed. I will cut it in a couple of days so check my Facebook page here if you would like to see what it looks like before going on the curing rack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In other news, my sewing skills have been reawakened as I "sewed to the oldies" at a local fabric store with a work colleague. It was fun. I am a big charm pack fanatic and here are a few of the things I worked with last night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And lastly, the Kansas City Royals lost the World Series and I am just now ready to talk about it. Just kidding. I was disappointed but not devastated. I am very proud of my hometown baseball team and I congratulate them on their fine performance this season. I may have to make my way back to the K next year to cheer them on in person. Love you, Royals! Thank you for making me a fan again!
Ta ta for now!
